Soroptimists Gather in Bozeman Montana
October 3,
4, and 5, 2003 found 84 energized, motivated Soroptimists gathering in
Bozeman, Montana for the 44th Annual Meeting of District 4, Northwestern
Region, Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA).
District
4 Director Bev St. Cyr of Soroptimist International of Helena Heritage
planned a weekend full of learning and recognition. Keynote speakers told
us of the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation, taught us about a fabulous
and EFFECTIVE peer mediation program active in the school system, and
Governor Dede Olson, Northwestern Region, SIA recognized the clubs in
Montana for their projects that “Made a Difference for Women and
Children.” The projects dealt with domestic violence and early detection
of cancer issues.
