SI Seattle North Celebrate Seniors Fair

Members of Soroptimist Interbationall of Seattle North decided to focus on the Senior Citizens of their community and held a Celebrate Seniors Fair at the Ravena Ida Culver House retirement home. Invitations to other senior homes and centers in the area were mailed.

Over 25 vendors participated in the fair featuring handouts, blood pressure testing, voter registration, senior services, financial advice, health foods, organ donation information, and many others. Door prizes were awarded each hour. A local Domino’s pizza donated lunch for the vendors.

Not only were the Seniors pleased with the opportunity but the vendors enjoyed interacting and gathering information. The event was also used as a public relations opportunity for new members. More than 5 participants expressed interest in becoming members of SI of Seattle North.
