Portland Clubs Sell Strawberry Shortcakes
and Raise $4755!

SI Portland North
For the second
year in a row, four SI Portland, OR clubs (SI Portland, SI Portland North,
SI Portland East and SI Hillsboro) partnered with four New Seasons markets
as their volunteer organization for their annual Mother’s Day Strawberry
Shortcake fundraiser. 72 members from four clubs worked a total of 28 hours
on Saturday, May 8, 2004, and sold $4755 worth of yummy shortcakes!
New Seasons provides all the materials, provides advertising and donates
all the monies earned to four domestic violence organizations that each
SI club recommends. This year, we sold $600 more than last year. We thoroughly
enjoy this event, have fun with it, and look forward to being New Seasons
chosen volunteer organization in 2005 when they open two more stores!
